Telethon ran for 26 hours at RAC Arena on October 19 and 20, 2024. Channel 7 and 7plus carried the live event, which brought together fundraising and entertainment in support of children’s health and wellbeing in Western Australia. Telethon’s event notice lists the dates, venue, duration and broadcast channels.
Where does Telethon money go?
In 2024, Telethon donations enabled support for 136 beneficiaries, according to the Government of Western Australia. Funding areas include equipment, programs, health services, transformational projects and medical research. The WA Government separately announced a $13 million donation to Telethon. That was the government’s contribution, not the event’s overall $83,264,216 result.
