Yes. Taylor Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ September 14, 2026, home opener against the Denver Broncos at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Good Morning America reported that she watched from a box with actor Tom Cruise, her father, and her mother-in-law. The report describes Kelce as Swift’s husband—not her fiancé—and says they married on July 3, 2026.
What happened at the Chiefs’ 2026 home opener?
The Chiefs hosted the Denver Broncos on September 14, 2026, at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Good Morning America reported that Swift attended and sat in a box with Tom Cruise. Her father and her mother-in-law were also with her, according to the report. The NFL’s social post about the appearance used the caption “Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise in the house for MNF.”
This was Kelce’s first regular-season game since his marriage to Swift, not the first home game of his career. Good Morning America says the couple married on July 3, 2026, and identifies Swift as his wife. Good Morning America’s report was published September 15, 2026.
When did Swift first attend a Chiefs game?
Swift’s first Chiefs game was September 24, 2023, when Kansas City played the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead. She accepted Kelce’s invitation and watched from his suite with his mother, Donna Kelce. The Chiefs won 41–10. ABC News reported on her appearance.

The 2026 opener was therefore a return to a stadium and team setting associated with the beginning of their highly public relationship—not Kelce’s first home game. The Kansas City Star’s timeline of Swift and Kelce’s Kansas City story quotes Swift’s December 2023 Time interview: “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

The first appearance drew attention partly because Swift was seen supporting Kelce while their relationship was becoming public. CBS News reported in September 2023 that sales of Kelce’s No. 87 jersey rose roughly 400% after Swift attended the Bears game. That is a historical figure reported by CBS, not a current sales measurement. CBS News covered the reported increase.

By the September 2026 opener, the relationship wording had changed: Good Morning America called Swift Kelce’s wife and reported that they had married that July. No reliable attendance or viewership figure for the 2026 game is established in the cited coverage.
