In a 6 November 2020 report, PerthNow said Tammy Hembrow shared an Instagram video showing loose skin around her stomach and urged mothers to be kind to themselves. The report quoted her describing loose skin and stretch marks after carrying two babies as reminders of the children she created, not imperfections.
What Tammy Hembrow’s post showed
PerthNow described footage of Hembrow in a leopard-print bikini, followed by a clip in which she showed loose skin around her stomach. The report said she presented the post as a “reality check” for her Instagram followers.
What she said about loose skin and stretch marks
PerthNow attributed this message to Hembrow’s Instagram post: “I carried two babies in this belly. Loose skin, stretch marks, whatever you may have, these aren’t imperfections,” followed by, “These are reminders of the little lives you created. Be kind to yourself mamas.”
Her message, as reported, reframed visible changes after pregnancy as reminders of carrying children rather than flaws. It was a personal body-positivity message, not a medical claim.

What the report establishes—and what it does not
The account comes from PerthNow’s article, “Influencer Tammy Hembrow shows off her tummy in body positivity message to her Instagram followers,” published on 6 November 2020. The original Instagram post was not independently verified for this account, so the description and quotation should be understood as PerthNow’s reporting.
PerthNow also reported that Hembrow had 11.7 million Instagram followers at the time. That is a historical figure in the 2020 article, not a current follower count.
