Sydney Sweeney and Dr. Squatch announced a limited-edition bar soap called “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss” in May 2025. The campaign said it was made with water from Sweeney’s bath; it was soap, not bottled bathwater. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that 5,000 bars were offered for an announced online price of $8 each, with sales scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on June 6, 2025. Later coverage said the edition sold out, but current stock and resale availability are not established.
What was Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss?
It was a Dr. Squatch bar soap promoted as containing Sweeney’s bathwater. In launch wording quoted by PerthNow, Sweeney called it “a very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater.” That describes the campaign’s claim; the cited coverage does not independently verify the water’s sourcing.

The product was not bathwater sold on its own. The San Francisco Chronicle and PerthNow described a soap bar with exfoliating sand and pine bark extract, with the Chronicle characterizing its exfoliation as medium-grit.

Why did Sweeney and Dr. Squatch make it?
The promotional explanation connected the idea to fan comments after an earlier Dr. Squatch advertisement featuring Sweeney in a bubble bath. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that context, and PerthNow quoted Sweeney saying: “When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,”
That framing turned a provocative fan request into a limited-edition product campaign. It explains the concept; it does not establish that the product had any special hygiene or health benefit.
How did people react online?
Reports captured both enthusiasm and skepticism. PerthNow described purchase-minded comments as well as replies expressing disbelief. It reported that one launch comment received more than 30,000 likes and another received 11,828 likes in its May 30, 2025 story. Those are engagement counts reported at that time, not a survey, a current count, or evidence of what all fans thought.

Did it sell out, and can you still buy it?
The Independent reported on August 20, 2025, that the limited edition had sold out and was fetching high resale prices. That is a dated account, not confirmation of current inventory or current resale prices. The reporting available here does not establish whether any Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss bars can be bought now. Ordinary Dr. Squatch soap is a separate product and should not be mistaken for this celebrity edition.
