In a Glamour interview published October 3, 2024, actor Sydney Sweeney said photographers outside her Florida home urged her family to get her to come out in a bikini for pictures. She said she had not called them and feared that publishing images could reveal her location and put her safety at risk.
What Sweeney said happened at her Florida home
Speaking with Anna Moeslein for Glamour, Sweeney recalled photographers calling to her family from outside the property. She said they offered to leave if she came outside in a bikini for pictures, quoting them as saying: “If you tell her to just come outside in a bikini, I’ll take pictures and then I’ll leave you alone.”
According to Sweeney, the photographers were there from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. She also described people hiding near the property in kayaks. Those details are part of her account of the encounter, not independently verified measurements or findings.
Did she say she called the paparazzi?
No. Sweeney denied calling the photographers herself. She pointed to her family being at home and said her backyard was not somewhere she would want paparazzi to be.

Why she said the photos raised safety concerns
Sweeney’s concern was not only that photographers were outside her home. She said published pictures could disclose where she lived or was staying, potentially drawing people to the property. “When those photos go out, then my actual safety is at risk,” she said. In the same interview, she added: “I should be able to be in my home and feel comfortable and safe.”
