In a May 2024 interview, she said she accepted the jurors’ choices and believed Charlie Davis deserved votes, too. The original interview’s Season 50 discussion was forward-looking; Season 50 has since aired, with Q Burdette, Tiffany Ervin and Charlie among the returning players from Season 46.
What Kenzie said about the jury vote
After her win, Kenzie told Parade that Hunter’s vote caught her off guard because they had spent time together. She did not frame the vote as a grievance:
“I was a little surprised by Hunter, because Hunter and I spent so much time together. But people choose who they choose. I’m not mad at anyone for how they voted. Charlie deserved votes, that’s a fact. So I’m glad Charlie got his votes.”
Kenzie also referred to receiving five votes. Her reaction distinguishes surprise from resentment: she could have expected a different ballot from someone she knew well and still respect the jury’s decision and Charlie’s support.

Why Kenzie won—and what the vote does and does not show
Kenzie’s win is the outcome; a juror’s later opinion is not a revision of that outcome. A separate post-finale interview with juror Maria Shrime Gonzalez focused on her decision to vote for Kenzie and turn on Charlie, but the interview’s framing alone does not establish her reasoning. See Parade’s interview with Maria for her own account.
In 2026, Q Burdette offered a different kind of comment: a hypothetical vote after watching the season. He told Parade, “If I could watch Season 46 and then go back and vote, I would have voted Charlie.” He also said he was not taking away from Kenzie’s game and described her as the best candidate in his eyes at the time. That is Q’s retrospective judgment, not an actual ballot cast at the finale or evidence that the result was disputed. Read Q’s interview with Parade.

Which Season 46 players returned for Season 50?
The original interview’s “Season 50 players” angle was a preview question in 2024. Season 50 has since aired. TV Insider’s pre-season coverage identified three returning players from Season 46:
- Q Burdette
- Tiffany Ervin
- Charlie Davis
Their return did not mean they were a settled alliance. TV Insider’s preview describes differing expectations about working together, not a guaranteed partnership. Its feature also mentions a Survivor at 50 special collector’s issue from TV Guide Magazine; it does not establish whether that issue is currently in stock. TV Insider’s Season 50 preview.

TV Insider’s article is a pre-season source, so it establishes who was identified as returning, not what happened to them during the completed season. A season listing gives the broadcast dates as February 25 to May 20, 2026; that date information is from a secondary reference, rather than a CBS listing. See the Season 50 listing.

| Speaker | When and context | What the comment means |
|---|---|---|
| Kenzie Petty | Parade interview published May 23, 2024, after the finale | Her personal reaction to Hunter’s actual vote and her acceptance of the jury’s choices. |
| Q Burdette | Parade interview in 2026, reflecting after watching Season 46 | A hypothetical choice to vote for Charlie if he could revisit the decision, paired with an acknowledgment of Kenzie’s game. |
The first is the winner describing her experience of the real result. The second is a player stating how he thinks he would have voted with hindsight. Neither changes the other’s meaning.
