The January 23, 2025, “Stuff Your Kindle Day” was a past, one-day Cozy Mystery eBook Blast—not a deal readers can assume is still active. A Goodreads reader post that day relayed the Cozy Mystery Book Club event description as offering 170+ free cozy mystery ebooks through participating retailers, with availability varying by region.
What was the January 23, 2025 event?
Readers discussing “Stuff Your Kindle Day January 23 2025” identified the promotion as the Cozy Mystery Book Club’s winter “Cozy Mystery eBook Blast.” A Goodreads community post dated January 23 relayed the event wording: “For one day only, you can download 170+ FREE ebooks from your preferred retailer.” The figure is the event description as reported by a reader; it has not been independently confirmed against a retrievable archived catalog.
The categories named in that discussion were historical, paranormal, and contemporary cozy mysteries. The event was described as a one-day offer, although a reader noted that some books can sometimes remain free for a few days. That observation is not a guarantee that any particular title stayed free after the event.
Where could readers look for the ebooks?
The dated discussion directed readers to the Cozy Mystery Book Club Book Blast page associated with the promotion. Readers reported retailer links beyond Amazon and named Kindle, Nook, and Apple. The posts do not establish that every listed title was available at every retailer.

“Kindle” in the event name did not mean readers had to own a Kindle device: the reported retailer choices included other options. However, the event record does not establish file formats, DRM terms, or compatibility for individual books. Check the retailer’s listing for the specific title and device or app you plan to use.
Why might a book not have appeared as free?
The reader post relayed this caveat from the event description: “Please note that we can’t guarantee that all ebooks will be free in your region!” A title’s offer could therefore depend on the reader’s location as well as whether that title was listed at their chosen store.

- Retailer and title: Search the individual title at the store you use. The available record does not show that all books appeared across all named retailers.
- Price at checkout: Confirm the displayed price before downloading. A past event description is not proof that a title is free now.
Can you still get the January 2025 books for free?
The January 23, 2025, event has passed, so its reported one-day offer should not be treated as active. The linked Book Blast page is the page associated with the event, but it does not provide a verified historical catalog or current prices in the available record. If you find one of the books now, verify its current price on the retailer’s own listing before choosing to buy or download it.
