The October 22 date in the title refers to the Crime Edition held on October 22, 2025. The organizer’s homepage now lists April 23, 2026 as the last event and says to check back for the next edition in fall 2026. When you find a title, follow its retailer listing and confirm the price there before downloading. The organizer warns that author-submitted information—including price, category, and explicit-content details—may be inaccurate, and retailer availability or pricing can change.

No. Despite the event’s name, a Kindle device is not required. Stuff Your Kindle: Crime Edition says participating books are available through major retailers and that the event is not exclusive to one device; the broader directory makes the same point. Choose a retailer and reading app or device you already use, then check that retailer’s listing for the specific title.
