1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsStreamlabs is discontinuing specific tools and features, not announcing that all of Streamlabs is shutting down. The affected items have separate timelines: Streamlabs Music stopped working in Desktop on April 1, 2025, while selected widgets were scheduled to sunset on April 12, 2026. A 2024 notice also named several branding tools but did not give an effective end date. Check the exact feature you use before assuming it is still available or that every Streamlabs product is affected.
Which Streamlabs tools are being discontinued?
There is no single shutdown date covering every item. Streamlabs published separate notices for branding tools, its Music app, Collectibles, and selected widgets. The dates and what remains accessible differ:
| Feature | What Streamlabs announced | Timing and access |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube Thumbnails, Emote Maker, Logo Maker, Intro Maker, Social Reminders | Named in Streamlabs’ “Important Changes to Our Streamlabs Tools” announcement as discontinued tools. | Published June 17, 2024 and updated June 20, 2024; the retrieved announcement does not specify when access ended. |
| Streamlabs Music | Removed from the app store; existing users retained access for a limited period. | New users could no longer install it after March 6, 2025. Existing access continued through March 2025; it stopped working in Desktop starting April 1, 2025. |
| Streamlabs Collectibles | A December 2025 announcement said browsing and claiming new items would end, while previously acquired items would remain usable. | The announcement excerpt says new claims ended December 18, 2025. Previously bought or claimed items remained in inventory and could be installed in Desktop scenes. This detail is based on a search-result excerpt; the underlying page was unavailable. |
| Selected widgets | Game Widget, Twitch Charity Donation Goal, Facebook Supporter Goal, Facebook Stars Goal, Facebook Shares Goal, and Plarium Goal. | Streamlabs Support set the sunset for April 12, 2026. |
Dates above reflect the notices’ stated timelines; they do not establish the current availability of every affected feature in every account or region.
Is Streamlabs shutting down?
The notices describe retirements of particular features, not a blanket closure of Streamlabs. A Streamlabs overview updated June 12, 2026 describes continuing services including Desktop, Mobile, Console, Cross Clip, alerts, overlays, widgets, and creator features. That overview is not a corporate-status declaration, and the specific dated retirement notices take precedence for the tools they name.

What happened to Streamlabs Music?
Streamlabs Music was removed from the app store on March 6, 2025. People who already had it could continue using it through March; from April 1, 2025 it no longer functioned in Streamlabs Desktop. The app can still appear in Desktop’s interface if installed. Streamlabs says it can be disabled under Settings > Installed Apps.
Streamlabs states that music previously used from the app remains DMCA-free in past recorded streams and YouTube uploads. Treat that as Streamlabs’ statement about past content made with its app, not general legal advice or a guarantee about other music, later uses, or other licensing situations.

Music alternatives named by Streamlabs
Streamlabs points users to Pretzel and Slip.Stream. Its descriptions are vendor claims, not independent licensing evaluations:

- Slip.Stream: Streamlabs describes music and sound effects, with access to its full collection for Streamlabs Ultra subscribers.
Before using any replacement in a live broadcast, recording, or monetized upload, review that provider’s current license terms and confirm they cover your platforms and intended uses.

Which widgets are going away, and what can replace them?
Streamlabs Support’s March 13, 2026 notice set April 12, 2026 as the sunset date for six widgets: Game Widget, Twitch Charity Donation Goal, Facebook Supporter Goal, Facebook Stars Goal, Facebook Shares Goal, and Plarium Goal. It names these goal widgets as still-supported options for the use cases and platforms it describes:
- Tip Goal
- Follower Goal
- Sub Goal
- Bits Goal
- Super Chat Goal
- Streamlabs Charity Donation Goal
- Tiltify Donation Goal
The notice specifically identifies Sub Goal as a replacement for Supporter Goal and suggests Bits Goal for Twitch streamers in place of Facebook Stars Goal. For people using Game Widget on Twitch, it points to the Streamlabs Twitch Extension, which it describes as including minigames, loyalty points, and polls. Check current platform compatibility and availability before setting up a replacement; the notice does not establish that each option maps directly to every retired metric or platform.

What should you do about branding tools and Collectibles?
Branding tools
The June 2024 announcement named YouTube Thumbnails, Emote Maker, Logo Maker, Intro Maker, and Social Reminders. Streamlabs said those tools were not aligned with the core needs of gaming and live-streaming communities. The retrieved announcement gives no effective sunset date, so it does not establish exactly when access ended. If you still rely on one, check your account and export or save any assets you can access before changing your workflow.
Streamlabs presented Fiverr as a route to commissioned branding and customization work, including stream graphics, logos, social media, and video editing. Its announcement included a 20% discount code for a first commissioned order, but that offer was published in 2024 and should not be assumed valid now.

- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.

- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Collectibles
A Streamlabs announcement excerpt dated December 17, 2025 says browsing the library and claiming new Collectibles ended December 18, 2025, while previously acquired items remained in inventory and installable in Desktop scenes. Because the announcement page itself was not available to verify, treat those details as provisional and check Streamlabs’ current support information or your account before relying on a specific item or installation path.
How to choose a replacement
There is no single replacement that fits every discontinued feature. Match the replacement to the task rather than to the Streamlabs name:
- Match the function: a logo or intro tool, a donation goal, a game overlay, and licensed background music solve different problems.
- Check the platform and integration: confirm support for the streaming platform and the specific event or metric you need to display.
- Understand what kind of service it is: a Streamlabs widget, standalone app, music library, and commissioned design service are not interchangeable.
- Check cost and rights: compare current pricing and licensing terms, particularly for music and commissioned assets.
- Protect existing work: save accessible graphics, settings, or assets and confirm whether acquired items remain available before relying on them in a future scene.
Will a Streamlabs retirement affect a 24/7 YouTube stream?
The listed retirements concern specific tools, music, collectibles, or widgets; they do not by themselves say that a YouTube live stream or every Streamlabs streaming workflow is ending. If your goal is to keep a pre-recorded video live on YouTube around the clock, that is a separate need from replacing a retired overlay or music app. StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for looping uploaded videos as a 24/7 stream; it is not a camera-streaming replacement or a Streamlabs feature.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a continuous YouTube stream made from uploaded videos, StreamNeo’s workflow is: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, then go live. The stream runs from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. It plays the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card required. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
