Yonhap characterized the achievement as the first time an act had debuted at No. 1 with its first six charting albums in the chart’s nearly 69-year history at that point. Billboard Korea described it as the first group to have six consecutive albums reach No. 1. These are contemporaneous claims about the record as reported in December 2024, not a statement about the chart’s record holders today.
What HOP’s title means
Yonhap reported that JYP Entertainment explained the title as combining the Chinese character for “harmony” with “hop” from hip-hop. That is the label’s stated interpretation of the name.
