The heart-attack account came from a family member who spoke to TMZ. It should be treated as attributed reporting, not as a separately confirmed medical finding: The Independent reported that autopsy details were pending.
Why birth-year records do not agree
Contemporary obituaries reported Hibbert was 68 when he died. His birth year is less certain in the available records: TheWrap gives September 19, 1957, while the Television Academy profile lists September 19, 1960. Those entries conflict, and the reviewed coverage does not resolve the discrepancy, so a birth year cannot be stated confidently.

His best-known screen role was The Gimp in Pulp Fiction
Hibbert played the masked, silent character known as The Gimp in Tarantino’s 1994 film. It became the role most closely associated with him, but the costume concealed his face and much of his performance. In an interview quoted by TheWrap, Hibbert said: “Besides, I was hidden under all of that leather and studs, so if it was truly horrifying — and some would argue it is — I could stay anonymous.”
