Steph and Ayesha Curry announced in March 2024 that they were expecting a fourth child. Their son, Caius Chai, was born on May 11, 2024, so the pregnancy is a past event—not an ongoing one.
When did Ayesha Curry announce the pregnancy?
Ayesha Curry shared the news on March 1, 2024, in a cover story for the first digital issue of Sweet July’s “The Village Issue.” She said she and Stephen had once thought three children was their limit, but the previous year they decided they wanted another child to complete their family. CBS San Francisco reported on the announcement; the interview did not disclose a due date.
At the time, the couple’s children were daughters Riley and Ryan and son Canon. The new baby would be their fourth child.
When was the baby due, and when was he born?
Stephen Curry later told the Associated Press in April 2024 that the baby was due in June. He said the couple had planned the timing with his expected participation in the Paris Olympics in mind. The baby arrived earlier than expected: Caius Chai was born on May 11, 2024. The Associated Press reported Stephen’s comments about the expected timing.
