What have critics and viewers said?
Rotten Tomatoes reproduced a review excerpt from Decider critic Johnny Loftus: “You can definitely add Stay to your Spooky Season playlist – there is a freaky sense of foreboding in a lot of this film.” That is Loftus’s assessment, not an official production description.
At the time captured, Rotten Tomatoes showed four critic reviews and fewer than 50 audience ratings; IMDb showed 3.1/10 from 597 ratings. These are time-sensitive platform snapshots with limited review counts, not a stable measure of broad audience consensus.
