What are the Starbucks holiday cups this year?
As of October 8, 2026, Starbucks has previewed holiday merchandise, not the new disposable cup artwork many customers look for each year. The 2026 announcement names four merchandise collections. It does not name 2026 disposable cup patterns. Starbucks says the holiday merchandise will begin arriving in coffeehouses and online at Starbucks Shop on November 5, except for the Winter Wonderland collection, scheduled for November 17. These are merchandise collections, not a confirmed catalogue of this year’s disposable hot- and cold-cup patterns. Items and launch timing are as described in Starbucks’ preview and may be subject to change.
What did the 2025 holiday cup patterns look like?
The most recent disposable designs described in Starbucks’ official announcements are from 2025. The company named four hot-cup patterns and two cold-cup designs:

- Merry Apron Strings – Green: A green design inspired by baristas’ green aprons, with ribbon-like apron strings and festive bows.
- Merry Apron Strings – Red: The red counterpart, which Starbucks linked to the seasonal shift to red aprons.
- Coffeehouse Plaid – Red and Coffeehouse Plaid – Green: Hot cups featuring red and green checks, drawing on warm coffeehouse textures.
- Merry Apron Strings Green and Merry Apron Strings Red: The two cold-cup designs Starbucks showed alongside the hot cups.
Those names and descriptions refer to the 2025 designs; they do not establish what the 2026 disposable cups will look like. Starbucks’ 2025 holiday cup story quotes creative director Kristy Cameron saying, “There’s something unmistakably magical about that moment the cups arrive – it’s as if the season officially begins.” The comment was published in the company’s November 5, 2025 story about that year’s designs.
When do Starbucks holiday cups come out?
For 2026, Starbucks schedules most holiday merchandise and seasonal beverages to begin November 5. The Winter Wonderland merchandise collection is scheduled for November 17. Starbucks has not given a date for the returning Bearista Glass Cold Cup.

These merchandise release dates are separate from Red Cup Day, the seasonal promotion involving a reusable holiday cup. Starbucks says Red Cup Day will return later in 2026. At participating stores, customers can receive a collectible reusable holiday cup with any handcrafted holiday beverage, while supplies last.
