Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 2 has finished filming, according to Paramount’s official Season 2 page. That makes the earlier “wraps very soon” wording outdated. Paramount has not announced an exact premiere date for the new season.
Has Starfleet Academy Season 2 finished filming?
Yes. Paramount’s official Season 2 information page says filming has wrapped. It does not give a specific date for the wrap, so the confirmed update is the completed production milestone rather than a dated announcement.

When will Season 2 come out?
Paramount has not stated an exact Season 2 premiere date on the official page. The series is listed by Paramount Global Content as a science-fiction drama that premiered on January 15, 2026, and as renewed for a second season. That January date is for Season 1, not a release date for Season 2.
Season 1 and its episodes are listed on Paramount+. Paramount also identifies the service as the show’s streaming home on its Season 2 page.

Will Season 2 be the final season?
TheWrap reported that Season 2 will conclude the series. That ending status comes from TheWrap’s reporting; Paramount’s official pages confirm the renewal and filming wrap, but do not establish that the second season is the last.
