Spotify Wrapped: How to See Your Top Songs and Music for 2019

Spotify’s full Wrapped 2019 story is generally unavailable, but some accounts can still find the personalized Your Top Songs 2019 playlist. Here are the recovery steps, troubleshooting checks, and data-export options.

Spotify Wrapped 2019 is mostly a historical feature now: the full interactive recap is generally unavailable, but the personalized Your Top Songs 2019 playlist may still be discoverable on some accounts. Search for the playlist first, then check your library, old links, and Spotify’s account-data tools if it is missing.

Short answer: Spotify’s full, story-style Wrapped 2019 recap is generally no longer available. Spotify launched it on December 5, 2019, but a Spotify Community answer posted on February 13, 2020 said the overview was no longer viewable. You may still be able to find the separate personalized playlist called Your Top Songs 2019, depending on your account and whether the tracks remain available in your region.

The playlist is not the same as the original interactive recap. It may show many of the songs Spotify associated with your year, but it will not necessarily restore the old story cards, seasonal results, listening totals, or every statistic shown in Wrapped.

How to find your Spotify top songs from 2019

1. Sign in to the original Spotify account

Open Spotify in the mobile app, desktop app, or web player and make sure you are signed into the account you used in 2019. This matters if you have changed email addresses, used a different login method, or have more than one Spotify account.

A playlist with the correct title on another account will not contain your personal listening history, even if it looks similar.

2. Search for “Your Top Songs 2019”

Use Spotify’s search field and enter the exact phrase:

Your Top Songs 2019

Search results can include public playlists created by Spotify, users, or third parties with the same or a similar name. Before saving or playing one, check whether it appears to be associated with your account and whether the songs match what you remember listening to.

If the direct search does not work, try the shorter phrase Your Top Songs. A Spotify Community moderator reported in 2026 that searching this way in the app helped locate a personalized playlist when an older direct link failed. This is a useful troubleshooting step, not a guarantee that the playlist still exists for every account.

3. Check Your Library

In Spotify, open Your Library and look through Playlists. Depending on the app version and account synchronization, the playlist may appear under a grouping such as Your Decade Wrapped.

Spotify’s interface changes over time, so you may not see that exact grouping. Check both the playlist list and any Wrapped- or decade-related sections that Spotify shows in your account.

4. Open an old saved or shared link

Search old email, messages, notes, social posts, or browser history for a Spotify playlist link from 2019 or 2020. If you saved the playlist or shared it with someone, opening the old link in the Spotify app may still reveal it.

An old link can fail for several reasons:

  • you are signed into a different Spotify account;
  • the playlist has been removed or is no longer associated with the account;
  • the link points to a public playlist rather than your personalized one; or
  • one or more tracks are no longer licensed in your current country.

What Spotify Wrapped 2019 originally included

Spotify announced the 2019 Wrapped experience on December 5, 2019. At launch, users could open it in the Spotify app or through Spotify’s Wrapped web destination. The experience covered music and podcast listening from 2019 and presented personalized results such as:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • your top artist;
  • your top song;
  • your top song for each season;
  • your most-listened-to genres;
  • your top podcasts;
  • your total minutes streamed during 2019;
  • artists, albums, songs, and podcasts discovered during the year; and
  • shareable personalized cards.

Spotify also included a broader “decade” view for people who had used Spotify for at least two years. That could include a top artist and total minutes for the decade, as well as a top artist and song for individual years.

Premium users received some additional personalized insights in the 2019 experience, including the number of artists discovered and the top artist discovered during the year. Free and Premium users could both receive personalized 2019 Wrapped sharing cards. That historical distinction should not be interpreted as meaning that Premium is currently required—or sufficient—to recover the old recap.

Why the playlist is not the same as Wrapped

Your Top Songs 2019 is best treated as a surviving playlist, not a complete backup of the Wrapped presentation. It can help you revisit the tracks Spotify associated with your year, but it does not necessarily contain:

  • your total minutes streamed;
  • your seasonal top songs;
  • your top genres;
  • your podcast statistics;
  • your decade-wide comparisons;
  • the number of artists you discovered; or
  • the original animated story cards and share screens.

The playlist’s ordering also should not be interpreted too literally. A Spotify Community explanation described the songs as generally ordered according to how frequently they were played, rather than simply by total minutes listened. Spotify’s historical methodology and later playlist changes may affect the result, so the first song is not mathematically guaranteed to be the track that accumulated the most listening minutes.

Do not confuse it with Spotify’s public 2019 playlists

Spotify also published public year-end playlists, including Top Hits of 2019. Those playlists represent Spotify’s editorial or global selections, not your individual listening history.

Playlist or feature What it represents
Your Top Songs 2019 A personalized playlist that may still be available for some accounts.
Spotify Wrapped 2019 The original interactive recap containing personal statistics, story cards, and additional insights.
Top Hits of 2019 A public Spotify playlist, not a record of an individual user’s listening.

If the playlist is missing

Work through these checks in order:

  1. Verify the account. Sign out if necessary and try the email address, username, or login method you used in 2019.
  2. Search the exact title. Search for Your Top Songs 2019, then try Your Top Songs.
  3. Try more than one Spotify client. Check the mobile app and the desktop or web player. A playlist can appear in one interface before the library has synchronized elsewhere.
  4. Inspect Your Library. Look in Playlists and any Your Decade Wrapped or similar grouping.
  5. Use an old link. Open any saved or shared Spotify playlist link while signed into the original account.
  6. Check the tracks’ availability. If the playlist exists but songs are gray or do not play, the music may no longer be licensed in your current market.

Why songs may be gray or unavailable

Spotify’s catalog varies by country because of licensing agreements. A song that played in 2019 may be unavailable now, and a track can also disappear if its rights holder removes or replaces a release. This does not necessarily mean that your account or playlist is broken.

Availability can also change when a song is reissued, when an album is replaced by a different release, or when you move to another country. In those cases, the playlist may survive while individual tracks become unplayable.

Can a Spotify data request recover your 2019 Wrapped?

If the playlist is gone, you can request the Spotify account data available for your account through Spotify’s privacy and account-data tools. This is the best remaining official route for investigating older listening information, but expectations need to be realistic.

Spotify’s current documentation describes a Wrapped-data category that can include items such as:

  • top artists;
  • top tracks;
  • play counts for the top track;
  • total listening time;
  • top genres;
  • podcast information; and
  • one-off Wrapped stories.

Spotify also documents extended streaming history. Depending on what is available for your account, that data can contain lifetime listening records with fields such as:

  • track and artist names;
  • album names;
  • track URIs;
  • play duration; and
  • other playback-related fields.

Look through the downloaded files for Wrapped-related data, playlist data, and extended streaming history. If you find a file containing 2019 plays, you can filter it by date and use it to build a personal list of frequently played songs.

Important limitations of the data export

Spotify’s wording refers to its latest Wrapped data; it does not promise that every historical Wrapped story will be returned. A data request may therefore fail to reproduce the 2019 cards, seasonal breakdown, exact ranking, or original playlist order.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Extended streaming history is useful for reconstruction, but it is not automatically identical to Spotify’s Wrapped methodology. For example, a raw history may include partial plays, repeated plays, skipped tracks, or listening records that Spotify handled differently when calculating a Wrapped result. Treat any ranking you calculate from the export as your own reconstruction rather than a guaranteed recreation of Spotify Wrapped 2019.

A practical way to reconstruct your year

If you receive extended history but not the original Wrapped results, you can still create a useful approximation:

  1. Filter the records to plays dated between January 1 and December 31, 2019, using the timestamps’ time zone carefully.
  2. Group plays by track name, artist, and—where available—track URI so that similarly named songs are not merged incorrectly.
  3. Count plays for a frequency-based ranking.
  4. Separately total play duration if you want a minutes-based ranking.
  5. Compare the result with any surviving Your Top Songs 2019 playlist.
  6. Keep in mind that the two lists may differ because the playlist and Wrapped could have used different calculations.

Do not treat a spreadsheet or script based on the export as an official Spotify result. It is a way to recover clues from your own account data when the original presentation is unavailable.

What you probably cannot recover

There is no reliable basis for promising that the old spotify.com/wrapped destination will replay the 2019 experience today. Spotify directed users there when the feature launched, but that historical instruction is not a current recovery method. The cited Spotify Community answer from February 13, 2020 stated that the 2019 overview was no longer available.

Likewise, having a Premium subscription does not guarantee access to the old story. The practical recovery options are account search, Your Library, an old playlist link, and—if the relevant records are supplied—Spotify’s account-data export.

How to preserve future yearly listening statistics

If you want a permanent record going forward, save each yearly playlist when it appears and keep a copy of important statistics outside Spotify. You can also use a listening-history or scrobbling service to track future plays, but such a service cannot retroactively recreate the original 2019 Wrapped story unless it was already recording your listening at the time.

For the same reason, a current Spotify plan may help you continue using Spotify, but it should not be presented as a way to restore Wrapped 2019. Check the features currently offered in your country before subscribing; plan availability and benefits can vary by market and change over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find my top songs from 2019 on Spotify?

Search Spotify for Your Top Songs 2019 while signed into the account you used in 2019. Also check Your Library > Playlists, any Your Decade Wrapped grouping, and old saved or shared Spotify links.

Is Spotify’s Top Hits of 2019 my personal playlist?

No. Top Hits of 2019 is a public Spotify playlist and does not represent your personal listening history. Your Top Songs 2019 is the personalized playlist to look for.

Can Spotify data restore my 2019 Wrapped results?

Possibly, but Spotify’s current data documentation does not promise that every historical Wrapped story will be included. Extended streaming history may help reconstruct your 2019 listening without reproducing the original cards or exact rankings.

The Bottom Line

The full Spotify Wrapped 2019 story is generally gone, but your personalized Your Top Songs 2019 playlist may still be recoverable. Search for it while signed into the original account, check Your Library and any Decade Wrapped grouping, and try old saved links. If it is missing, request Spotify account data—but expect a possible listening-history reconstruction, not a guaranteed restoration of the original Wrapped cards.
