Who is in the cast and who made the film?
The central roles are Carey, Paul, Julie and Ashley, played respectively by Kyle Marvin, Michael Angelo Covino, Dakota Johnson and Adria Arjona. Covino directed the film and co-wrote it with Marvin. The Festival de Cannes listing credits Covino with the screenplay.
What kind of comedy is it?
The Associated Press review describes Splitsville as a screwball relationship farce, with blunt conversations, escalating reversals and choreographed long takes. That is one reviewer’s characterization, not a consensus claim. The AP review also finds that the reversals can become tiresome, so viewers who prefer tightly controlled pacing may respond differently from those who enjoy comic escalation.

#1 Best Overall
- Splitsville [Blu-Ray]
The film’s comedy draws on characters who are certain of themselves even when they are mistaken. In an AP production report, co-writer and actor Kyle Marvin put it this way: “Nothing is funnier than someone with a lot of confidence, because they’re generally wrong in some way, shape or form.”
Is Splitsville suitable for children?
The Associated Press reports an R rating for language throughout, sexual content and graphic nudity. It is aimed at adult viewers, not children or families looking for a mild relationship comedy. The AP review gives the runtime as 100 minutes.

Rank #2
- Dakota Johnson, Adria Arjona, Kyle Marvin
Disney+ and Apple TV list the runtime as 1 hour 44 minutes, while the AP review gives 100 minutes. These are the figures shown by those individual sources; they should not be treated as a single confirmed runtime.
