In a prolonged, direct fight between standard versions of Peter Parker and Bruce Banner’s Hulk, Hulk is the likelier winner. Spider-Man’s spider-sense, agility and webbing could help him evade Hulk, delay him or escape, but Marvel’s character profiles do not establish a universal winner—or a definitive “Marvel-confirmed” result—for every version and scenario.
Why Hulk is favored in a prolonged fight
Marvel’s profile says Spider-Man can lift nearly 10 tons, along with describing his speed and agility. Marvel’s Hulk profile describes Bruce Banner as a scientist transformed by gamma radiation into a rage-powered green monster, but does not provide a comparable fixed strength figure for the standard Hulk. These profiles are not a head-to-head measurement; the likely edge for Hulk in a sustained physical contest is an inference from their usual portrayals, not an official scorecard.
That distinction matters: the evidence supports a reasoned matchup judgment, not a claim that Marvel has measured their abilities against each other or confirmed one winner for all circumstances.
What Spider-Man can do to avoid or control Hulk
Spider-sense and agility
Marvel says Spider-Man’s spider-sense helps him detect and gauge impending danger. Combined with his agility and speed, that gives Peter a strong chance to avoid or anticipate attacks. Avoiding hits, however, is different from overpowering Hulk or ending the fight.

Webbing and mobility
Spider-Man’s adjustable web fluid can stop a large vehicle at peak strength and hold several people for nearly two hours before it begins to dissolve, according to Marvel’s profile. That demonstrates useful restraint and control, but it does not establish that webbing can permanently hold Hulk. Wall-crawling and the surrounding terrain could help Peter create distance or escape; the value of those tactics depends on the setting and the objective.
Does Marvel confirm a winner?
No universal winner is established by the official Marvel profiles and catalog listings cited here. They describe the characters and confirm published encounters, but their summaries do not declare that one character always wins. “Marvel Confirmed” is therefore best understood as a headline hook, not a definitive Marvel ruling.
