Spacey Jane returned to live shows at Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on January 14, 2025, previewing “All The Noise” and another new song alongside familiar favorites. PerthNow’s Kellie Balaam reported that the intimate hometown show was announced the day before and sold out; she rated the performance 3.5 out of 5.
Spacey Jane Rosemount Hotel review: a hometown return
The Tuesday-night performance marked Spacey Jane’s first live show in 14 months, according to Balaam’s PerthNow review. On stage, frontman Caleb Harper put the gap in local context: “We haven’t played a Spacey Jane show in 14 months, we’ve played at The Rosemount many times but haven’t been here since 2019.”
The band played as a four-piece: Harper on lead vocals and guitar, Ashton Hardman-Le Cornu on lead guitar, Kieran Lama on drums, and Peppa Lane on bass. The Rosemount gave their return the scale of a close-up hometown show rather than a large live setting, with the audience’s response central to Balaam’s account.
Spacey Jane’s “All The Noise” live debut and the new material
The band played “All The Noise” and another new song they said was intended for their coming album. A separate X-Press Magazine review also identifies “How to Kill Houseplants” as new material and describes “All The Noise” as having floating guitars and pronounced reverb—impressions from that reviewer, not technical measurements.

Two days after the Rosemount show, Concord Records announced “All The Noise” as the first single from If That Makes Sense, then scheduled for release on May 9, 2025. The label’s announcement and CD page place the song in the album’s tracklist; Spacey Jane’s Bandcamp album page lists Ruby Red LP and Metallic Blue Anniversary Edition vinyl. These are physical album formats, not a current ticket offer.

PerthNow says the band opened with “Skin,” “Lunchtime,” and “Sitting Up,” followed by “All The Noise” and another new song. The set then drew on older favorites, including “Sawteeth,” “Head Cold,” and “Lots of Nothing,” before “Booster Seat” closed the night, according to Balaam.

Setlist.fm’s editable, user-submitted entry documents a fuller running order. It includes “Yet,” “Feeding the Family,” “Thrills,” “Good for You,” and “Hardlight,” as well as “How to Kill Houseplants” in the encore before “Booster Seat.” That entry provides additional corroboration, but it is not an official band-published setlist.
The contrast between previews and established songs gave the night its shape: the new material pointed toward the next album, while older songs brought a familiar catalogue into a room where the crowd could sing along. X-Press Magazine also noted audience participation during the older material.

How the comeback show sounded—and Balaam’s rating
Balaam’s 3.5-out-of-5 rating reflects an energetic return, the pull of familiar songs, and an engaged crowd, alongside a performance that was not entirely polished. Harper acknowledged that the group had rehearsed for only five days and had made a few mistakes. Balaam wrote that fans did not notice them; the point is not that the set was flawless, but that the audience’s enthusiasm carried it.
For a show announced just a day in advance and reported as sold out, the Rosemount offered an intimate setting for a band reconnecting with Perth listeners and testing new songs in front of them. The evening ended with “Booster Seat,” bringing the set back to a well-known favorite after its glimpse of what was coming next.
