In August 2024, Victoria Jackson said her breast cancer had returned and spoke publicly about mortality, family and the life she had lived. She described an inoperable mass near her windpipe and said, “I’ve had a fantastic life.” The survival-time figures she mentioned were her own estimates at the time—not an independently confirmed prognosis. The material available here does not establish her medical condition as of October 4, 2026.
What Victoria Jackson said about her cancer returning
In an August 16, 2024 report, the Los Angeles Times said Jackson had announced that her breast cancer had returned. She described a mass lying against her windpipe and said doctors could not operate on it. That description was Jackson’s account; the report did not provide an independent medical record or a treating clinician’s assessment. Read the Los Angeles Times report.
What she said about death and family
As she discussed the recurrence, Jackson reflected on mortality and the life she had lived, saying, “I’ve had a fantastic life.” She also spoke about wanting to see family milestones. Those comments capture her outlook in August 2024; they are not a clinical forecast.
How to understand the survival-time figures she mentioned
The Los Angeles Times reported two figures Jackson cited in 2024: 34.8 months in a social-media post, and “32.6 months to live, something like that,” which she attributed to her own internet research about people taking the medication. Both were Jackson’s statements, not independently validated survival statistics or a confirmed estimate from her doctors. They should not be treated as a countdown or applied to her current condition.

Her 2026 book announcement
In April 2026, Jackson’s official site announced Not Dead Yet: A Lifetime of Handstands, Art & Poetry, a collection featuring photographs, poems, artwork and personal stories. In an accompanying first-person interview, she explained the title through her Christian faith and the project’s urgency. Her comments there concern the book and her beliefs; the pages do not provide a verified update on her clinical prognosis. Visit Victoria Jackson’s official site.
