Set in a crime-ridden fictional district, it follows an artist who pursues human desire through encounters that may cause serious harm. The official Japanese edition is for adults and requires a Japanese-language Windows PC; the sources cited here do not establish an English-language edition.
What is Slow Damage about?
The game takes place in Japan in “20XX,” in Shinkōmi, a fictional special administrative district built around a major casino resort during a severe recession. The casino’s private operator, the Takasato-gumi, effectively governs the district, where disorder and crime are common, according to the official story page.

Towa, the protagonist, stays at the clinic of a doctor he knows and lives in a self-destructive, present-focused way. He paints under the artist name “euphoria,” making oil paintings about human desire. To do so, he tries to draw out desires buried in other people and experience them, even if he or someone else could be gravely injured. The premise makes the game a dark adult drama, not a lighthearted romance.
The official character page describes Towa as listless but responsive to things that interest him, and says drawing is his only hobby. His Japanese voice actor is Santa Hiiragi. The scenario is by Kabura Fuchii, with original art by Uiro Yamada.

Is Slow Damage an adult game?
Yes. NITRO CHiRAL labels it a women-oriented BL game containing adult content, and its Japanese product information prohibits purchase by people under 18. The premise also involves crime, self-destructive behavior, dangerous encounters and risk of serious injury.
The official pages cited here do not provide a comprehensive, act-by-act content-warning list. Their broad adult-content notice should not be treated as a complete guide to every potentially distressing theme. Readers who need specific warnings should consult a more detailed, reliable guide before playing.
Can you play Slow Damage in English?
The product details documented here are for the Japanese Windows edition. The official product page specifies Japanese language; it does not establish an English-language release or its availability. Do not assume that buying the Japanese package or download provides an English version. Check a seller’s current listing and language details before purchasing.
Japanese PC edition: release and requirements
The current official Japanese standard-edition page lists an April 28, 2023 release and a tax-inclusive price of ¥4,070 for both package and download. It says the game content is unchanged from the 2021 initial limited edition and download release. The older January 2021 announcement describes that original release, but its historical date and system details do not replace the current standard-edition listing.

The manufacturer page listed a 2027 rerelease at ¥6,900, with preorders open from August 21 through September 30, 2026, and shipment planned for February 2027. That preorder period has ended. The listing’s existence does not establish current stock or later availability, so check the manufacturer or retailer for an active order option.
NITRO CHiRAL’s official updates also document merchandise and recorded-music activity in 2026, but individual reservation periods can close. A past announcement is not proof that an item is currently available.
