Skye Wheatley and her partner Lachlan Waugh attended a couples-counselling session on 11 January 2024, according to a report published by PerthNow the following day. Wheatley described the appointment in an Instagram video as part of efforts to address relationship struggles and improve the family dynamic. Later coverage has discussed breakup rumours and a reported split, so the 2024 disclosure should be read as historical—not as confirmation that the couple is still together or counselling now.
What Wheatley disclosed about the session
PerthNow reported on 12 January 2024 that Wheatley had posted an Instagram update about the couple’s relationship difficulties and her goal of addressing them that year. The outlet attributed this statement to her video: “Lockie and I went to a counselling session yesterday.” The session therefore took place on 11 January, based on the report’s publication date and wording.
PerthNow said an occupational-therapy appointment for the couple’s then-five-year-old son led to a counselling session for Wheatley and Waugh. The report also quoted Wheatley saying, “Let’s start with the parents because we’re broken.” She reportedly hoped a new counsellor would help; she contrasted that experience with an earlier counsellor whom she felt had judged her. Why the date matters
The report described Wheatley as an Australian influencer and former Big Brother contestant, Waugh as her partner and the father of their two children, and said they had been dating for six years. Those were PerthNow’s descriptions in January 2024; they should not be read as a current relationship update. The same article recalled that the pair had previously taken a break and tried co-parenting. That account is historical context, not evidence of a continuous arrangement.

A Nova Podcasts episode listing published on 8 October 2025, titled Skye Addresses The Lachy Breakup Rumour, says Wheatley addressed breakup rumours and discussed psychology appointments and co-parenting under one roof. A Ranzware article dated 3 October 2026 describes Waugh as Wheatley’s ex and reports that she posted Instagram Stories about a recent split. That is secondary reporting; it does not by itself verify the couple’s status as of 7 October 2026. So Dramatic!’s October 2024 coverage also recounted breakup rumours and earlier counselling, but does not independently settle their current status. Accordingly, the established point is narrow: PerthNow reported in January 2024 that Wheatley and Waugh attended one counselling session the previous day. The available later coverage does not establish whether they are together now or whether counselling continued. The reports do not support diagnosing either person, assigning blame, or claiming that counselling repaired or failed to repair the relationship.
