Who—or what—does he find?
At the hidden location, Lukas encounters a voice or system referred to in episode coverage as the Algorithm. The scene presents it as having knowledge of people who reached the location before him: Salvador Quinn, Judge Mary Meadows, and George Wilkins. What is the Safeguard threat?
The Algorithm warns Lukas that the Safeguard will be initiated if he talks about their conversation or what he has seen. That makes the discovery dangerous: the warning is meant to keep the hidden place and its significance from being disclosed. The episode does not fully define the Safeguard’s effects or explain how it would be activated beyond the threat made to Lukas. Radio Times
