Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Taylor Sheridan’s 2018 crime thriller and the sequel to Sicario, was reported to arrive on Netflix on April 1, 2025. That date has passed. The report did not name a Netflix region, so it does not establish whether the film is available on Netflix now or in any particular country.

What is Sicario: Day of the Soldado about?
In Sony’s official synopsis, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) turns to Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro) as cartels begin trafficking terrorists across the U.S. border. Alejandro kidnaps a cartel kingpin’s daughter to intensify the conflict, but her fate complicates the mission and the two men’s choices. Sony categorizes the film as drama, suspense, and action, and rates it R. Sony Pictures: film synopsis and editions.
Is it currently on Netflix?
The reported date alone cannot answer that. Because the report does not identify a country and Netflix catalogs vary by region, current availability remains unconfirmed here. Check the Netflix catalog in your region for the film’s listing rather than treating the 2025 date as a guarantee of access today.

Can you watch it without Netflix?
Sony lists Sicario: Day of the Soldado in Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats. These are possible ownership options, not confirmation of current store inventory or price. For 4K HDR playback, Sony specifies a compatible 4K UHD television, an Ultra HD Blu-ray player, and high-speed HDMI 2.0A cables. Blu-ray or DVD may suit viewers who already have compatible players; a digital edition avoids disc playback equipment. Sony Pictures: film synopsis and editions.
