Sharon Stone Net Worth: What the $25 Million Estimate Does—and Doesn’t—Tell Us

Sharon Stone’s net worth is estimated at $25 million by Celebrity Net Worth, according to Parade’s July 9, 2026 report. That figure is a third-party estimate, not a verified disclosure of Stone’s current assets, debts or cash. The available reporting offers career and financial context, but no independently verified balance sheet or documented calculation of her present net worth.

Where the $25 million estimate comes from

Parade attributed the $25 million figure to Celebrity Net Worth. The available reporting does not establish the estimate’s underlying methodology, so it should be read as an estimate rather than a confirmed total. Net worth depends on assets and liabilities at a particular time; a reported salary, book deal or artwork price alone cannot establish it.

For a current figure, the key distinction is between a published estimate and a verified financial disclosure. The reviewed sources provide the former, not a complete accounting of Stone’s finances.

Reported film salaries are not the same as net worth

Celebrity Net Worth lists reported salaries totaling $40.6 million across eight selected film roles, while noting that the list is incomplete and does not represent Stone’s total career earnings. The figures are gross reported compensation, and the source does not provide a full methodology for them.

Film Reported salary
Basic Instinct (1992) $500,000
Casino (1995) $2 million
Last Dance (1996) $6 million
Diabolique (1996) $6 million
Basic Instinct 2 (2006) $13.6 million

These are examples from the source’s selected list, not a complete filmography or a complete accounting of income. Even a confirmed gross fee would not show what remained after taxes, representation costs, other expenses or changes in assets and liabilities.

Why Stone has described a major financial setback

Celebrity Net Worth relayed Stone’s account from a 2024 Hollywood Reporter interview: she said she had $18 million in her bank account before her 2001 stroke and divorce, and later said, “I had zero money.” This is her reported recollection, conveyed here through a secondary source; it is not a current financial statement.

In a September 2026 Variety interview, Stone described a vertebral artery rupture, a nine-day brain bleed, a stroke and a seven-year recovery. She said she lost her place in the business and had to start again. This history helps explain the career disruption she has discussed, but the sources do not establish specific medical costs or show that the health crisis alone determined her finances.

Stone has also spoken about the intensity of her earlier work. In a 2024 Guardian interview, she said she worked 307 days in one year and was home six days in one year and nine days in another. Those figures are her account of her schedule, not a measure of earnings or wealth.

Books and painting add context, not a balance sheet

Stone’s memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, was published in 2021. Parade reported an advance of at least $2 million, citing a Daily Mail report that quoted a literary agent familiar with the deal. That is indirect reporting, not a confirmed contract disclosure; an advance also does not establish net proceeds or current wealth. The Guardian reported that Stone said the book had been sold in 22 countries.

A CBS Sunday Morning page on Paramount+ says Stone’s paintings sell in the tens of thousands and reports that she had held two U.S. gallery shows, with another about to open in Berlin. The description does not say how many works sold or how much Stone received, so the reported prices cannot be converted into total art income.

What can be said with confidence

  • The $25 million figure is a third-party estimate attributed by Parade to Celebrity Net Worth in July 2026, not a verified disclosure.
  • The selected film salaries are reported historical gross compensation, not current wealth or a complete career-earnings total.
  • Stone has publicly described financial and career disruption after her 2001 health crisis, but the available reporting does not provide an independently verified current accounting.
  • Book and art reporting gives context about later work, but not the net proceeds needed to calculate her present wealth.

Accordingly, $25 million is best understood as the available published estimate—not a confirmed statement of Sharon Stone’s net worth.
