- The Sex Pistols' only studio album, 1977's Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols was called "just about the most exciting rock & roll records of the Seventies" in Rolling Stone's original review. A quarter-century later, with none of the album's scathing fury and massive influence diminished, the magazine ranked this title #41 on its list of the "500 Greatest Albums Of All Time" and rightly deemed it, "the Sermon on the Mount of English punk. This album is now available on 180-gram virgin vinyl.
The full-album format is the clearest guide to what the advertised show is built around; the announcement does not specify the additional songs. Universal Music Canada’s announcement also documents a physical edition of the album.
Why was the tour rescheduled?
The 2026 run follows the postponement of planned 2025 North and South American dates after guitarist Steve Jones broke his wrist. Pollstar reported that the cancellations happened before a show was played, so the 2026 schedule is not a continuation of a completed 2025 North American tour. Jones said in the March 2026 announcement that he believed his wrist was ready for the upcoming run.

- 40-plus years on from the Sex Pistols' original creative period together (forged amidst times of poor leadership and economic turmoil), the band continues to resonate in ways most could have never imagined - not least those Stateside who witnessed the performances that make up this vital, primal and compelling release
Some dates also have venue changes. Pollstar marks Montreal and Denver as rescheduled at new venues; its report also identifies several dates as rescheduled, including Dallas, Toronto, Philadelphia, Washington, Cleveland, Detroit, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Confirm the venue on the event page for the specific show you plan to attend.

The rescheduled itinerary was reported on March 2, 2026, after the earlier tour plan had been postponed. In the March 2025 announcement, the Associated Press described Carter as frontman alongside Jones, Cook and Matlock and framed the plan as the group’s return to North America after a long gap. That earlier report is historical context; the dates above are the rescheduled 2026 schedule.

- The Original Recordings covers a historic period when the Sex Pistols were rarely out of the news or off the charts
In the AP interview, Cook called the band’s history foundational to punk, saying, “This is where it all kicked off, really, all the punk.” Carter said, “I think everybody needs this band right now. I think the world needs this band right now.” The Associated Press report contains the full interview context.
