What happens in Season 9?
The season picks up after Season 8’s office strife and hurt feelings, following agents as they navigate luxury listings alongside personal and professional fractures. Netflix creator Adam DiVello said the new season would begin with the fallout from those tensions and move into new stories. The official preview also points to pressure on agents to keep their positions, social-media drama and clashes within the brokerage.
Nicole, Chrishell and Emma
One prominent thread is the fallout from a rumor Nicole Young spread about Emma Hernan and Nicole’s conflict with Chrishell Stause. Netflix’s season guide describes the cast as entering the season amid fractures from earlier disputes. In a separate Netflix interview published October 29, 2025, Nicole discussed the Friendsgiving confrontation and said Jason and Brett asked her to leave the office afterward. She also said, “the truth of the matter is I was never fired from the office or The Oppenheim group.” That is Nicole’s account of her employment status, not an independent determination of the dispute.
