How much did each Porco Rosso Seiko cost at launch?
Seiko’s 2020 launch announcements show different recommended retail prices in Australia and Germany. The figures below are tied to those markets and announcements; they should not be treated as directly interchangeable or as current prices.

Seiko’s regional product pages also list INR 4,10,000.00 for the SNR047J1 on its India page and MYR17,800.00 for the SRQ033J1 on its Malaysia page. Seiko’s Australian announcement marked the SNR047 as sold out in that announcement context. That does not establish availability in every market, nor does it confirm the status of the SRQ033. No current second-hand price range or live inventory is established here; check the exact reference, seller, condition and market before treating a listing as representative.

What is the difference between SNR047J1 and SRQ033J1?
The main distinction is the movement and complication: the SNR047J1 is a Spring Drive watch with date and power-reserve display, while the SRQ033J1 is an automatic chronograph with date. They also differ in case size and edition quantity.

How do the design and included details compare?
Both watches draw on the 1992 Studio Ghibli film Porco Rosso. Seiko connects their enamel-dial styling to the instrument panel of the Savoia S-21. The SNR047 has a red seconds hand and green power-reserve indicator; its sapphire case back shows the Porco Rosso symbol. Seiko also describes a Porco Rosso emblem on its crown and the plane’s name on the case. Seiko’s collaboration page.
Both official model pages specify a dual-curved sapphire crystal with super-clear coating, 10 bar water resistance, a crocodile leather strap, a three-fold push-button clasp, an enamel dial, a serial number on the case back and an additional crocodile strap. Seiko’s Australian launch announcement identifies the extra strap as black for the SNR047 and red for the SRQ033. Each was presented in a special box carrying a message from director Hayao Miyazaki; Seiko does not transcribe that message on the cited page.

The watches have 20 mm lug spacing, but that measurement alone does not confirm that any particular replacement strap is suitable. The SNR047’s power-reserve display is useful if that indication matters to you; the SRQ033 instead adds elapsed-time measurement through its chronograph.

There is no single best choice without a preference for movement, complication and size. The SNR047J1 is the smaller option and uses Spring Drive, with a power-reserve display. The SRQ033J1 is larger and thicker, and its 8R48 movement powers the chronograph. Their limited-production counts and region-specific launch prices differ, but neither fact says what a particular example is worth now.
