Season 6 of Seeking Sister Wife puts Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield’s courtship with Lorrana on a fast track: a marriage deadline, a proposal after a brief visit, and a bedroom reshuffle all play out while Dannielle is still adjusting. Here are eight moments that may make viewers wince, based on the season’s scenes and episode descriptions—not a judgment about the people involved.
1. Garrick’s sperm-and-bonding theory
In a September 2025 sneak peek reported by Us Weekly, Garrick claimed that women who have had around five male sexual partners may struggle to bond, and said sperm changes a person. Dannielle is reported as responding, “It’s the sperm.” The awkwardness is the certainty of the claim: the cited coverage does not validate it scientifically, and Garrick’s reference to unidentified studies is not evidence that the theory is established.
2. Calling a proposal from God after five days
Us Weekly reports that, after five days together, Garrick said, “You know, I feel really good about her. God wants me to ask her to be my wife.” The jarring part is the speed: a religious declaration of certainty lands after a short in-person meeting. That contrast is what makes the moment uncomfortable to watch, without making it possible to judge anyone’s sincerity.
3. Baptism, then proposal, on the same trip
According to the cast’s account reported by Us Weekly, Garrick and Lorrana had spoken for five months before meeting in Jamaica for about a week. During that trip, he baptized her and proposed. The sequence compresses major relationship milestones into a visit that was brief in person, making the courtship feel unusually accelerated.

4. A 90-day marriage countdown
TLC’s Season 6 family profile says Lorrana arrived on a K-1 visa, giving the couple 90 days to marry. That deadline turns the relationship’s pace into a practical pressure point as well as an emotional one. The figure here is TLC’s description of the show’s situation; it is not a broader guide to immigration rules.
5. Dannielle’s mixed feelings as the plan moves forward
TLC’s episode guide says Garrick and Lorrana prepare to marry while Dannielle has mixed feelings. That mismatch—plans advancing while one partner is still emotionally adjusting—is a difficult tension to watch. The synopsis establishes her ambivalence, not what she privately feels beyond what the show presents.

6. Packing up her place in Garrick’s room
A TLC clip covered by Parade shows Dannielle moving her belongings out of Garrick’s bedroom. Under the arrangement described in the coverage, she and Lorrana share a room and take turns staying with Garrick. Dannielle sums up the disorientation: “It’s kind of like packing for a trip, but you don’t even know where you’re going and what to bring.” The image of packing without knowing what comes next makes the changing household arrangement feel especially unsettled.
7. Rushing to finalize the prenup
TLC’s episode listing describes the Merrifields as rushing to finalize a prenup and running into major issues. The uncomfortable part is the timing: a consequential agreement is being hurried along amid an already fast-moving courtship and Dannielle’s visible uncertainty. The episode description does not establish the couple’s private finances or provide a basis to assess the legal terms.

8. Another high-stakes attempt at a sister-wife relationship
TLC’s Season 6 profile describes Roberta and Nathalia as earlier heartbreaks and frames Lorrana as the Merrifields’ third attempt. The repetition is striking: the family is again pursuing a major relationship change, with marriage and household adjustments at stake. TLC’s description supports that recurring storyline, but does not establish private reasons for how the earlier relationships ended.
