Sean Duffy and Rachel Campos-Duffy welcomed their ninth child, Valentina StellaMaris Duffy, in early October 2019. Rachel announced the birth in an October 7 post; contemporary coverage reported that Valentina had arrived about a month before her due date and was then receiving care in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Rachel Campos-Duffy shared the birth news on October 7, 2019, introducing her daughter as “Valentina StellaMaris Duffy.” A contemporaneous report said Valentina had been born the previous week, roughly a month before her due date. Us Weekly reported the announcement on October 8, 2019 (Us Weekly).

In the family post as reproduced in contemporaneous coverage, Rachel said Valentina was doing well but remained in the NICU while learning to feed independently. She wrote, “She is doing great, though still in the NICU until she learns to eat on her own.”
The post also reported that Valentina had Down syndrome and a heart defect, described as two holes in her heart and valves needing repair. It anticipated surgery in three to four months. Those details reflect what the family shared in 2019; the announcement does not establish whether or when the anticipated procedure later took place.

In the same post, she called her daughter “the sweetest, most perfect angel we have ever seen.” The family’s announcement was reproduced by National Right to Life News on October 14, 2019 (National Right to Life News).
