Deonte Nash, a former stylist for Sean “Diddy” Combs who testified for prosecutors at Combs’s 2025 federal criminal trial, filed a separate lawsuit accusing Combs of sexual abuse and violence during Nash’s employment, CBS News reported on September 24, 2025. Those claims are allegations, not findings of fact. The available reporting does not establish the lawsuit’s current court status.

What did Deonte Nash allege in the lawsuit?

CBS News reported that Nash’s lawsuit accuses Combs of sexual abuse and violence while Nash worked for him. The report establishes what was reported when the suit was filed; it does not prove the allegations.

The available sources do not verify the complaint’s exact causes of action, filing court, case number, requested relief, Combs’s response, or any later procedural developments. Without a current court record, it is not possible to say whether the case remains active or has been resolved. CBS News reported on the lawsuit on September 24, 2025.

Who is Deonte Nash, and what did he say at Combs’s trial?

Nash is a celebrity stylist who worked with Combs and Cassie Ventura. At Combs’s 2025 federal criminal trial, Nash testified for prosecutors about his observations of the pair. According to the Associated Press, he recounted being with Ventura on her birthday in 2015, hearing Combs berate her, and hearing Ventura later say she did not want to participate in a so-called “freak-off.” Nash also testified that he tried to intervene during an episode in which Combs allegedly attacked Ventura. These were accounts in Nash’s testimony, not judicial findings about his later civil lawsuit. The Associated Press reported on Nash’s testimony.

The defense challenged Nash’s credibility on cross-examination, confronting him with affectionate messages he had sent Combs in 2019 and 2020, after their professional relationship had ended. AP characterized Nash as a reluctant prosecution witness. That trial testimony and cross-examination provide context for his role as a witness; neither determines the truth of the separate civil allegations.

How is the lawsuit different from Combs’s criminal case?

Nash’s lawsuit is a separate civil matter. Combs’s criminal trial concerned criminal charges brought by prosecutors, while Nash’s suit concerns allegations made by Nash. The criminal verdict does not decide the civil claims.

The Associated Press reported that in July 2025 a jury convicted Combs of transporting people across state lines for prostitution and acquitted him of racketeering and sex-trafficking charges. Those outcomes belong to the criminal case and should not be treated as a finding for or against Nash in his lawsuit. AP’s report on the criminal verdict.
