The original federal indictment unsealed after Sean “Diddy” Combs’s September 2024 arrest is available as a free, 14-page PDF from the U.S. Department of Justice. Open the official original indictment. It contains prosecutors’ allegations, not findings of fact. Later superseding indictments changed the charging document, so this PDF is not the latest version.
Read the original indictment
The Southern District of New York filed the indictment under seal on September 12, 2024, and unsealed it on September 17, the day prosecutors announced Combs’s arrest. The complete original document is a 14-page PDF hosted by the DOJ: read the original indictment.
Use this link when you want the charging document from the initial arrest, rather than a later amended version. The PDF is the primary source for what prosecutors alleged in that filing.
What the initial indictment charged
The DOJ said the original indictment contained three counts:

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Racketeering conspiracy
- Sex trafficking
- Transportation to engage in prostitution
In describing its case, the indictment alleged an enterprise and conduct involving abuse, coercion, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution-related purposes. Those descriptions are allegations made by prosecutors in a charging document; an indictment is not proof that the alleged conduct occurred.
Why this is not the latest indictment
Later superseding indictments changed and expanded the charging document. The Washington Post’s April 4, 2025 reporting described an updated version that included a second sex-trafficking charge related to a second alleged victim. The Associated Press reported on an earlier superseding indictment in January 2025. These later filings are distinct from the three-count September 2024 original.
