Australian influencer Sam Guggenheimer confirmed in a January 2024 episode of her podcast Just For Girls that she and AFL player Caleb Poulter had split. She said they had grown apart and denied that cheating or wrongdoing had caused the breakup.
When and where Guggenheimer confirmed the split
PerthNow reported on 23 January 2024 that Guggenheimer made the announcement on Just For Girls. The report said the couple had been together for more than two and a half years. This is a retrospective account of what was announced in January 2024, not confirmation of either person’s relationship status today. PerthNow’s report
The podcast had previously featured the pair together. An official Omny.fm listing describes an earlier episode as “The Sweetest Episode with Sam & Caleb,” in which Poulter discussed his AFL career and they answered listener questions. That listing provides context for their joint podcast appearance; it is not an account of the breakup announcement.
What Guggenheimer said about the breakup
Guggenheimer said they had grown apart and chosen separate journeys, while describing the relationship as positive. She explained that she wanted to address the split on the podcast so listeners could hear her directly: “I wanted to say it on the podcast where people can hear my voice and people don’t take things out of context and run with a different story.”

She also said: “I’m taking control of my own narrative and wanted to say it on a platform that I feel comfortable with that Caleb and I are no longer together.” Her explanation was her account of the relationship and the decision to speak publicly.
Did cheating cause the split?
Guggenheimer publicly denied cheating and wrongdoing. PerthNow quoted her saying: “Nothing bad ever happened in our relationship. No one cheated. Setting that straight. No one cheated. No one did anything wrong.” She added: “I love him and will always have love for him but we’re not together and that’s fine, and that’s the end of it.” These statements report her position; they do not independently verify private events.
