Saiounia “Sai” Hughley said she would have been a bitter juror on Survivor 48 and would not have voted for any of the remaining players to win. It was a hypothetical: she was eliminated one spot before the jury and did not cast a vote.
What Sai said about being a juror
In post-elimination interview coverage, Sai said, “I would’ve never voted for any of these people.” She also joked that someone might have had to vote for host Jeff Probst. The remark described what she imagined she would have done as a juror, not an actual decision at the Final Tribal Council. Yahoo’s syndicated Entertainment Weekly report recounts her comments.
Why Sai called herself a potentially bitter juror
Sai framed the hypothetical as a candid reaction to the players still in the game after her elimination. She described herself as someone who would have been a “bitter juror,” while also saying she could have been a great juror. In a TVLine interview published April 10, 2025, she said, “I would have been a great juror, but I also am very proud of the game that I played, so I genuinely have no regrets.” Her comments pair the joke about withholding a vote with pride in her own performance.
Did Sai vote for the Survivor 48 winner?
No. Sai was eliminated one spot before the jury, according to TVLine’s interview coverage. She was not a juror and did not vote for the season’s winner. Her statement was a hypothetical about how she might have voted had she made the jury.
