News coverage put the off-market deal at $37 million, while a 2023 account citing the seller said the property cost $33.5 million plus $2.5 million for furniture—a breakdown that does not exactly match the headline figure.
How much did Russell Westbrook pay for his Brentwood house?
The Los Angeles Times reported on October 31, 2022 that Westbrook bought the mansion for $37 million. Mansion Global also reported the $37 million figure and described the sale as off-market.
A later account offers a more detailed, but not identical, figure. In March 2023, The Real Deal cited seller Sam Palmer as saying the home sold for $33.5 million, with another $2.5 million paid for furniture. That adds up to $36 million, not $37 million. Hilton & Hyland reported the same split, crediting the Wall Street Journal.
The available reports therefore support describing the purchase as one widely reported at about $37 million, with a later seller-attributed account breaking out $33.5 million for the property and $2.5 million for furnishings. They do not establish an independently verified deed price or explain the difference between the figures.

Where is the house?
The Real Deal’s 2023 account identified the property as 565 North Tigertail Road in Brentwood, Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Times reported that Westbrook bought it from Petra Ecclestone, daughter of former Formula One executive Bernie Ecclestone, through his limited liability company, Gifted 999. Both accounts described the transaction as off-market.
The Times called it Brentwood’s priciest home sale so far in 2022 as of its October 31 report. That was a comparison limited to sales reported for that year at that time, not a current ranking.

What was reported about the property?
Mansion Global described an eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom house on a half-acre lot, with canyon views, a home theater, wine cellar, spa, four-car garage and private pool. The story said those details came from the property’s 2019 purchase by Ecclestone.
The Los Angeles Times described the home as a modern farmhouse with a black-and-white exterior, tall hedges, a deck and swimming pool. It noted that photographs were scarce because the property had not officially been offered for sale. These are details in earlier reporting, not findings from a recent inspection.
