“Ruk Ruk Ruk” was revisited for the 2018 film Helicopter Eela, with Palomi singing and Raghav Sachar reworking the arrangement. The track looks back to the song associated with the 1994 film Vijaypath, originally sung by Alisha Chinai and composed by Anu Malik.
Which song is in Helicopter Eela?
The track is titled “Ruk Ruk Ruk (From ‘Helicopter Eela’)” in Apple Music’s catalog, where it is listed under Anu Malik, Raghav Sachar and Palomi. Cinema Express reported its release on September 25, 2018, describing it as a recreation of the “Ruk Ruk” song from Vijaypath. Cinema Express’s 2018 report identifies Palomi Ghosh as the singer of the new version.

How the original and recreated versions differ
| Version | Film association | Vocalist | Credits and arrangement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original “Ruk Ruk Ruk” | Vijaypath (1994) | Alisha Chinai | Composed by Anu Malik, as reported by The Indian Express. |
| Recreated “Ruk Ruk Ruk (From ‘Helicopter Eela’)” | Helicopter Eela (2018) | Palomi | Apple Music credits Raghav Sachar as remixer and composer, and Anu Malik as composer. Sachar said he kept the original melody and added conversational rap portions. |
The credits in the table distinguish the earlier song from the later recording; catalog roles should not be read as a complete account of every film or sound-recording credit.
What changed in the remake?
Sachar described his approach to The Indian Express: “I’ve retained the melody just like it was in the original by Anu Malik. We have updated the song with new rap portions that make it more conversational.” That is the arranger’s account of the update: the central melody remained, while rap sections changed the presentation.

Credits and listening listings
Apple Music’s track listing credits Anu Malik as performer and composer, Palomi as vocalist, Raghav Sachar as remixer and composer, Pradeep Sarkar as conductor, and Ajay Devgan and Jayantilal Gada as producers. These are the roles shown in that catalog listing. Apple Music lists the track at 4:09; Amazon Music lists it at 4:10. The one-second difference is a catalog-duration discrepancy and, by itself, does not establish that the services carry different versions.
The full Helicopter Eela soundtrack is also listed digitally by Apple Music as a six-song 2018 album credited to Saregama India Ltd. These are digital catalog listings, not evidence of a physical soundtrack release. View the soundtrack album listing.
