Songwriting and Joey+Rory
The Grand Ole Opry credits Feek with multiple number-one songs, including “Some Beach,” recorded by Blake Shelton, and “A Little More Country Than That,” recorded by Easton Corbin. He and Joey performed together as Joey+Rory, bringing his songwriting career into a musical partnership that became closely connected with their family story.
Books and personal storytelling
Feek’s official biography identifies him as a New York Times bestselling writer and lists memoir and children’s books among his work. The Opry describes This Life I Live: One Man’s Extraordinary, Ordinary Life and the Woman Who Changed It Forever as his memoir. His blog, also called This Life I Live, began in January 2014 as he and Joey prepared for the arrival of their daughter, Indiana. In a later account of the blog’s evolution, he describes sharing the family’s story through grief after Joey’s death.

Joey Feek’s illness and the family’s story
Joey was Rory’s wife and musical partner. Her cervical cancer and death are part of the couple’s shared history, but they are not facts about Rory’s health or death. ABC News’ contemporaneous report identifies Joey as the person who died in 2016; Rory’s own writing describes the aftermath of losing her. Keeping those lives distinct matters when an obituary search risks transferring one person’s story to another.
What is known about Rory Feek’s life now?
A biography on Feek’s Substack, signed by him in 2026, says he remarried Rebecca in 2024 and lives with Rebecca and Indiana on a historic farm in Tennessee. Those are details attributed to that dated first-person biography, not permanent guarantees about his current circumstances.
