The promoter’s expanded itinerary lists 13 shows, from October 24 in Perth to November 15 in Wellington. What the tour announcement was about
The 2025 run was tied to All Night Days, Thomas’s sixth solo album, and the 20-year anniversary framing for his debut solo album, …Something to Be. TEG Van Egmond described …Something to Be as Triple Platinum in Australia; its page did not give a certification year. That is the promoter’s attribution, not an independently verified sales figure. The promoter’s announcement and Thomas’s official news page provide the tour and album context.
TEG Van Egmond said the dates marked Thomas’s first Australian and New Zealand solo headline shows since the 2019 Chip Tooth Tour, following Matchbox Twenty’s 2024 tour. Auckland Live described the New Zealand dates specifically as Thomas’s first solo headline shows in New Zealand. The distinction matters: the claim about the 2019 solo shows covered both countries, while Auckland Live’s statement concerned New Zealand. Auckland Live’s announcement also quoted Thomas saying he was looking forward to returning to share his solo songs with Kiwi fans.

- On his sixth solo album, All Night Days, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Rob Thomas continues to pen songs about living life to the fullest, even if those "All Night Days" come less often than they used to
What songs were expected
Pre-tour descriptions from the promoter and Auckland Live said the show was expected to draw from Thomas’s solo catalogue, Matchbox Twenty songs, and his collaboration with Santana. The named songs included:
- Rob Thomas solo tracks: “Lonely No More,” “This Is How A Heart Breaks,” “Her Diamonds,” and “Street Corner Symphony.”
- Matchbox Twenty songs: “3AM” and “Unwell.”
- Santana collaboration: “Smooth.”
- The then-new single: “Hard To Be Happy.”
These were announcement-era descriptions of expected repertoire, not a verified setlist or a firsthand account of what was performed at any show.
When tickets went on sale
The sale dates in the original announcements have passed. Thomas’s May 21, 2025 post said Tour Club members would get first access to Australia and New Zealand ticket and VIP-package presales beginning May 26 at 11:00 a.m. local venue time. It listed Australian general public sales for May 29 at noon local venue time. Auckland Live gave the New Zealand public on-sale time as May 29 at 12:00 p.m. local time. These historical dates do not confirm whether tickets are available now. The original notices are on Thomas’s official news page and Auckland Live.

Thomas’s initial announcement listed 11 dates. The promoter’s later itinerary expanded the schedule to 13 by adding October 31 in Melbourne and November 5 in Sydney. The artist page abbreviated Auckland’s venue as KTK Theatre; Auckland Live and the promoter give its full name as Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre. For the complete schedule, the expanded promoter itinerary is the more inclusive listing.
