Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia’s 29th annual Gala Ball took place at Crown Perth on Saturday, 11 November 2023. The Extraordinary-themed evening welcomed more than 1,000 attendees and raised over $1.4 million for the charity’s accommodation and family wellbeing services.
About the 2023 RMHC WA Gala Ball
The event was held in Crown Perth’s Grand Ballroom. RMHC WA chose the theme Extraordinary, inspired, the charity said, by the strength and resilience its families show through difficult times.
PerthNow reported more than 1,000 guests, while RMHC WA’s recap described attendance as over 1,000. The charity reported that the event raised over $1.4 million.
What the funds support
RMHC WA said proceeds would help it provide year-round, 24-hour home-away-from-home accommodation and services supporting the wellbeing of Western Australian families. The fundraising total and attendance figures refer specifically to the 2023 gala, not to current annual totals.
