Although the assignment title calls it the “9 Pro,” contemporary launch reports identify the special edition as the 9 Pro+. They describe a 16GB RAM, 512GB storage model with Bumblebee-themed styling and accessories.
When did the Bumblebee edition come out?
The China launch took place on March 29, 2024, according to The Tech Outlook’s launch report and Notebookcheck’s coverage published that day. The date is historical; it is not an announcement of a new launch in 2026.
What was distinctive about the edition?
Bumblebee styling and reported configuration
Launch coverage describes a black-and-yellow Bumblebee-themed design and reports a configuration of 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The reports establish the special edition’s themed presentation, but do not establish a hardware upgrade over the underlying phone.
Reported launch price
The Tech Outlook reported a China launch price of CNY 6,499 for the 16GB/512GB edition. This is a secondary-source historical launch figure, not a current resale price, global MSRP, or conversion into another currency.

Reported box accessories
Contemporary coverage describes a themed bundle that included a magnetic cooler, charger, cable, protective case, SIM tool, and badge. That list reflects launch reporting, not a guarantee that every seller’s box is complete. For a second-hand or imported unit, ask the seller to confirm and photograph the actual contents.
Is it available outside China?
A launch report characterized the Bumblebee phone as based on the China-market 9 Pro+ and said international availability was unlikely at the time. That does not establish whether it is available now, whether a later regional offer existed, or whether a particular import supports a buyer’s local network and warranty. Verify the exact model, seller, regional support, and included accessories before purchasing.

How does it relate to the standard REDMAGIC 9 Pro?
REDMAGIC’s official global specifications page describes the standard 9 Pro, not the Bumblebee 9 Pro+ edition. It lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with refresh rates up to 120Hz, a 6500mAh dual-cell battery, 80W charging, ICE 13 cooling with a 22,000 RPM fan, 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X memory, and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. These are useful standard-platform details, but they do not independently verify the special edition’s exact specifications.
REDMAGIC International said sales of the standard 9 Pro opened on January 3, 2024, describing its battery, fan, flat rear design, and RGB lighting in its sales announcement. REDMAGIC China’s series announcement said the 9 Pro series launched in China in November 2023, with series pricing starting at CNY 4,399. Neither the standard model’s international sales nor that starting price should be confused with the Bumblebee edition’s reported China launch price.
