The PerthNow warning that Perth and Mandurah concertgoers should take the bus to Sandalford Wines was published on 18 March 2025 and applied to that year’s event—not the next one. The currently listed Swan Valley Red Hot Summer Tour is on Saturday, 14 November 2026, with Australian Crawl and Men At Work. Sandalford reports that concert tickets are sold out, while bus-transfer availability may change; check the live official pages before setting out.
What the 2025 traffic warning said
PerthNow’s 18 March 2025 report concerned that Saturday’s Icehouse-led Red Hot Summer Tour at Sandalford Wines. It reminded concertgoers to use shuttle buses after severe congestion at a 2023 Swan Valley Robbie Williams concert. The report said about 16,000 people were expected at the 2025 event; that was an estimate, not a confirmed attendance count and not a figure for 2026. Read the PerthNow report published 18 March 2025.
In that 2025 report, Sandalford CEO Grant Brinklow encouraged pre-booking a bus and combining bus, train or shuttle travel. His statement about bus-ticket availability referred to the 2025 event; it does not establish availability for 2026.
The next listed Swan Valley event
The official Sandalford and Red Hot Summer Tour pages list the next relevant Swan Valley show for Saturday, 14 November 2026, headlined by Australian Crawl and Men At Work. Sandalford’s event page says concert tickets are sold out. Transfer seats, timetables and fares are separate and can change, so confirm them through the official event information before travel.

Plan the journey from Mandurah or Perth
From Mandurah
- Check the official Buswest event listing for the Mandurah pickup at Murphy’s Irish Pub, 43–44 Mandurah Terrace, and confirm that the listed 10:30am departure still applies.
- Confirm the current fare, seat availability, booking requirements and return arrangement on that listing before travelling to the pickup.
- If the Mandurah service does not suit, compare the other published shuttle stops or arrange an alternative journey; do not assume an old fare or timetable is still valid.
From Perth
- Look for the closest suitable Buswest pickup among the published Perth-area stops, including Fremantle, Armadale, Cottesloe, Burswood, Joondalup, Scarborough, Greenwood, Thornlie and Success.
- Check the current booking page for departure, return, fare and seat availability before choosing a stop.
- If travelling by train, check the Guildford shuttle schedule and carry cash for the shuttle. Its listed return service begins at 7:30pm; check whether that timing works for your plans.
If you are driving, taking a taxi or being dropped off
Allow at least 60 minutes for vehicle entry and exit, according to Sandalford. Use the road specified for your travel category: West Swan Road for general-admission parking, Harris Road for rideshare, taxi and drop-off, and Maxwell Road for buses. Check the current event directions rather than navigating to a general venue entrance, since access routes differ.
