What has been reported about POORSTACY’s death
TMZ first reported POORSTACY’s death on December 1, 2025. People en Español reported on December 2 that Boca Raton Police had confirmed an “incident” and that the rapper had died at 26. The outlet said the cause of death had not been confirmed at the time of its report. Neither report, as described in the subsequent coverage, supplied a final official cause-of-death determination.

What the later affidavit report says
In a December 4, 2025 report, Boca Post cited a newly filed probable-cause affidavit and described investigators’ account of a fatal gunshot wound in a Boca Raton hotel room. These details are attributed to Boca Post’s account of the affidavit; they are not a substitute for a final medical-examiner finding.
Boca Post also reported that Nicole Grikstas was arrested on a child-neglect charge. The charge is an allegation, not a finding of guilt, and the arrest does not establish responsibility for POORSTACY’s death. The available reporting does not establish a later court disposition.

What the released 911 audio does—and does not—establish
On December 3, TMZ reported that it obtained 911 audio from Boca Raton Police and that the released recording was redacted. TMZ also attributed other claims about the circumstances of the death to unnamed sources and reported disagreement within the family. The redacted audio and those attributed claims do not resolve the differences or establish a final official account.

People en Español identified POORSTACY as Carlito Milfort Jr. and described music that blended emo rap and hip-hop with punk rock and heavy metal. The outlet reported collaborations with Travis Barker and Oli Sykes, as well as an appearance on the soundtrack to Bill & Ted Face the Music. Boca Post reported that he released two studio albums.
