The reported count included artists, hosts, judges and participants. It was a description of police action—not a finding that all 30 people were guilty.
Why were Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina named?
The case followed a controversial exchange in an episode featuring Ranveer Allahbadia as a guest. The Associated Press described Allahbadia’s remark as concerning a contestant’s parents’ personal relationship. Allahbadia apologized; Raina said he was cooperating with authorities and removed the show’s videos. The Associated Press reported those developments.
The Maharashtra Cyber Police case, as reported by The Indian Express, covered people connected with all six episodes—not only the guest and host associated with the exchange. A senior police officer told the newspaper that summons would be issued asking those named to join the probe.

What did the Supreme Court do in March 2025?
A Supreme Court office report dated March 3, 2025 records interim protection from arrest for Allahbadia in specified FIRs registered in Thane and Guwahati. The protection was conditional on his joining and cooperating with the investigations. The report also records a direction, in the circumstances stated by the Court, against registering further FIRs against him on the basis of the same episode. What is the latest reported case status?
A Bar and Bench report dated August 14, 2026 says the Supreme Court quashed criminal cases concerning the show. The scope of that reported ruling cannot be mapped from the information available here to every FIR and complaint mentioned in earlier records. It would therefore be inaccurate to say categorically that every proceeding connected with the controversy was quashed without identifying the later order and the specific case numbers it covers.
