Randy Travis’s More Life Tour was not a conventional singing concert: guest vocalist James Dupré performed Travis’s songs with his original touring band, while Travis and his wife, Mary Davis, appeared onstage to spend time with fans. The 2025 dates in the original announcement have passed, and the tour promoter said the run would conclude in fall 2026.
What was the More Life Tour?
The More Life Tour brought Travis’s catalog to the stage through live performances by James Dupré, backed by Travis’s original touring band. Travis and Davis also appeared onstage, interacting with the audience. A venue description said Travis would not sing because of the stroke he suffered in 2013, so the format was a celebration of his music and presence rather than a standard Randy Travis vocal concert.

The Morrison Center attributed this description of the tour to Travis: “The More Life Tour celebrates something so much more than a musical moment in time—it’s a gift to me to spend time with my fans, and my band, as James Dupre perfectly presents the songs that best define my career.” The venue spells the surname “Dupre” in the quote; the vocalist’s name is commonly styled James Dupré.
Are the January–May 2025 dates still upcoming?
No. Yahoo Entertainment’s September 18, 2024 report, republishing Southern Living coverage, announced 23 U.S. stops from January 10 through May 12, 2025. Those dates are historical, not a current schedule.

What happened to the tour after 2025?
Randy Travis’s official website lists 2026 dates. On May 26, 2026, promoter 117 Entertainment Group announced that the More Life Tour would conclude in fall 2026 after a two-year run. The promoter described its reach as more than 54 cities across 24 states; that is the promoter’s figure, not an independently audited attendance or audience count.

Who is James Dupré?
Dupré is the guest vocalist who performed Travis’s songs on the tour. His role made it possible for the band to present the catalog live while Travis participated onstage without singing. The arrangement distinguishes the More Life Tour from a tribute concert: Travis himself was part of the event, alongside Davis and the musicians who had toured with him.

Watch the documentary
More Life is a documentary follow-up for viewers who want context about Travis and the tour. The promoter said in 2022 that the film was available through YouTube and iTunes. A Prime Video listing also surfaced with rental and purchase options in its displayed market; storefront availability and terms vary by region, so check the listing where you live.
