Queer Eye Season 9 brings its familiar makeover format to Las Vegas and adds interior designer Jeremiah Brent to the Fab Five. Netflix announced all 10 episodes for release on December 11, 2024. The season’s clearest points of distinction are its new city and the new voice in the home-design role; how effectively those changes serve the heroes is something viewers can judge in the episodes.

What changes in Season 9?

After its New Orleans seasons, Queer Eye relocates to Las Vegas. Netflix Tudum frames the setting around the city’s “Sin City” identity and introduces a new group of heroes, including a former showgirl and a librarian. That premise makes the city part of the season’s setup, but the location alone cannot establish how much the episodes engage with Las Vegas or how it shapes each person’s story.

The other major change is Jeremiah Brent, who joins returning experts Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Karamo Brown, and Jonathan Van Ness. Netflix identifies Brent as an interior designer and author; Film Nevada’s production listing confirms the five-person cast. His addition gives the home-design role a new expert, while the familiar team continues to work across style, grooming, food and drink, cultural pursuits, and home décor.

How to think about the Las Vegas setting

The move from New Orleans to Las Vegas offers a natural comparison point, not a verdict. Netflix confirms the sequence of locations, but the available official descriptions do not establish whether this season uses the city as a meaningful backdrop for the heroes or leans mainly on its recognizable image. Viewers assessing the setting can look at whether the city’s presence connects to individual lives rather than treating it as a substitute for them.

What Jeremiah Brent brings to the Fab Five

Brent takes on the interior-design role alongside four returning experts. Netflix’s season guide describes him as an interior designer and author, and names his book The Space That Keeps You as a book about emotional design and what gives spaces meaning. That background makes his addition especially relevant to the home portion of the format, but biography is not a measure of how his on-screen approach works with the team or the heroes. The episodes are the basis for judging that contribution.

What the makeover format covers

As in the show’s established format, the Fab Five’s work spans several areas of daily life: wardrobe and style, grooming, food and drink, cultural pursuits, and the home. Netflix and Film Nevada identify these makeover domains, but their descriptions do not show how much attention each receives in Season 9. A useful review considers whether the different interventions feel connected to each hero’s needs, rather than assuming that a list of makeover categories proves a particular result.

Is Queer Eye Season 9 worth watching?

If you follow Queer Eye, Season 9 offers two clear reasons to take a look: the relocation to Las Vegas and the arrival of Brent in the design role. Whether the season’s stories, emotional payoff, and balance among the five experts make it worthwhile is a judgment that depends on the episodes themselves, not on the promotional synopsis. Netflix’s official title page lists the Season 9 trailer and episode material; availability can vary by region.
