Spoilers for all 16 episodes of Queen of Tears. The 15-scene ranking below preserves Georgia Davis’s April 17, 2024 list, republished by Its Prime Media from Screen Rant. It covers episodes 1–12, when four episodes of the 16-episode season were still unaired—not the full series. The order is editorial, not a measure of audience consensus. Read the original ranking.
These choices favor moments that shift Hae-in and Hyun-woo’s relationship, showcase restrained performances, balance comedy with melodrama, or change the story’s stakes. The show begins with a marriage in crisis and follows the couple toward renewed love, but later episodes complicate that journey with Hae-in’s illness and memory loss. Netflix lists 16 episodes in season one and credits Park Ji-eun as writer, with Kim Ji-won and Kim Soo-hyun in the lead roles. Netflix’s series guide

How to read this ranking after the finale
The list is a snapshot of an early-run selection, not a definitive ranking of the completed drama. Netflix’s release guide identifies a 16-episode season, and the original article appeared with episodes 13–16 still to come. Netflix’s March 25, 2024 release guide
The later story changes the context for several early choices. TIME’s finale review discusses the tumor treatment, memory loss, family and antagonist plotlines, and the happy ending; its negative assessment of the finale is one critic’s view, not a consensus. TIME’s April 30, 2024 review The official tvN previews likewise frame episode 15 around Hae-in losing her memory and Eun-sung staying beside her, with Hyun-woo and others working to help him; the finale preview describes a journey from a cold marriage toward mutual understanding. Those previews offer broad plot context, not full episode transcripts. tvN episode previews
That later context does not erase the emotional precision of the first twelve episodes. It does mean the ranking answers a narrower question: which scenes made the strongest impression in the original list before the series had finished—not which moments every viewer would choose after seeing the ending.
