Ana Layevska recordó que Rafael Amaya fue su primer novio formal y explicó que terminaron porque eran diferentes y sus proyectos los llevaron por caminos separados: él se fue a trabajar a España y ella quería trabajar en Estados Unidos. En la entrevista, Layevska describió a Amaya como su primer novio formal. Según el artículo de People en Español, ella matizó que antes había tenido otros acercamientos, pero no los consideraba noviazgos propiamente dichos. Tenía 24 años cuando, según su relato, él llegó a su vida.
La publicación recogió su recuerdo con estas palabras: “Rafa fue mi primer novio en la vida. Digo había tenido ahí mis noviecillos de ya sabes me gustó este y ahorita salimos, pero novio, novio, novio [no]”.
Por qué terminaron, según Layevska
Layevska dijo que eran muy diferentes y que buscaban cosas distintas. Como ejemplo, explicó que sus proyectos profesionales apuntaban a lugares distintos: Amaya se fue a trabajar a España, mientras que ella quería irse a trabajar a Estados Unidos.

La actriz también recordó que se quisieron mucho y se llevaban bien. En la misma conversación, según la publicación, resumió el desenlace como “caminos diferentes necesidades diferentes”.

El artículo no precisa cuándo comenzó o terminó la relación, cuánto duró ni quién tomó la decisión final. Por eso, lo que puede afirmarse con base en esa cobertura es que Layevska atribuyó la ruptura a sus diferencias y a proyectos profesionales que los condujeron en direcciones distintas; no dio otros motivos.
