The first episode split the 12 designers into competing houses and asked them to create looks inspired by Disney Princesses or Villains. Athleisure challenge and house shakeups
The second premiere episode challenged designers to make multipurpose athleisure looks, while the fashion houses underwent shakeups. Those are the specific follow-up changes documented in the premiere preview; they should not be taken as a complete account of every twist later in the season.

Who hosted, judged and mentored?
Klum returned to the hosting role. Garcia continued as a judge, and fashion stylist Law Roach joined the judging panel. Christian Siriano, a former contestant and subsequent host of the franchise, served as mentor for this season. Freeform’s premiere announcement confirms the lineup and roles.
The season also brought back designers Jesus Estrada, Caycee Black and Veejay Floresca. D23 notes that Floresca placed third on Project Runway Philippines; that is her placement on that series, not a Season 21 result.

When and where could viewers watch Season 21?
In the United States, Season 21 premiered with two episodes on Freeform on July 31, 2025. Freeform said episodes would be available shortly afterward on Hulu and Disney+. The season was announced in 2024 as a 10-episode run. The announcement that the series reached more than 125 countries referred to the franchise’s international broadcast reach, not a Season 21 audience figure.
