The gathering came one day after a Memphis judge halted a proposed foreclosure sale of Graceland following a lawsuit by her granddaughter Riley Keough. The birthday celebration and the court dispute were connected by timing, not by any reported resolution at the party.
Who attended Priscilla Presley’s 79th birthday celebration?
People reported that Presley marked her birthday on Thursday, May 23, at Cipriani in Beverly Hills. Named attendees included her son, Navarone Garcia; granddaughter Riley Keough; and Lisa Marie Presley’s twin daughters, Harper and Finley Lockwood.
Garcia shared a photo montage from the evening on Instagram, with pictures of himself and Presley, Presley with Keough, and Presley alongside her granddaughters. His post wished his mother a happy birthday and thanked the guests and people who helped organize the gathering. The reported family appearances do not establish anything about private relationships beyond who was present.
What was the Graceland legal dispute?
Keough, who inherited control of the Promenade Trust after her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, died and was acting as its trustee, filed suit on May 15, 2024, to stop a proposed foreclosure sale of Graceland in Memphis. The foreclosure claim concerned an alleged $3.8 million loan said to have been secured by the property. Keough’s lawsuit disputed the documents and the debt; the claimed loan should not be treated as an established or proven obligation.
#1 Best Overall
After a hearing, a Memphis judge halted the proposed sale on May 22. That action stopped the sale at that point; the available reporting does not establish that the judge finally resolved every allegation in the dispute.
What did Elvis Presley Enterprises say about Graceland?
Elvis Presley Enterprises said the court action would not interrupt operations. In a statement reported by the Associated Press in May 2024, the company said: “Graceland will continue to operate as it has for the past 42 years, ensuring that Elvis fans from around the world can continue to have the best in class experience when visiting his iconic home.”
How the birthday and court dates fit together
- May 15, 2024: Keough filed suit to stop the proposed sale, according to Associated Press reporting.
- May 22, 2024: A Memphis judge halted the foreclosure sale after a hearing.
- May 23, 2024: Presley celebrated her 79th birthday at Cipriani in Beverly Hills.
The party followed the court’s action by one day. Reporting places Keough at the birthday gathering, but does not indicate that the event changed the legal dispute or that Priscilla Presley was a party to Keough’s foreclosure action.

In August 2025, former business partners Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko filed a separate lawsuit against Priscilla Presley, seeking more than $50 million and alleging fraud and breach of contract. Those are allegations in a separate case, not findings of fact, and they are unrelated to Keough’s May 2024 effort to stop the Graceland foreclosure sale.
