When and where did Nikolaos marry Chrysi Vardinogianni?
The Greek Royal Family’s official announcement says the Greek Orthodox wedding took place on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 18:00 at the Holy Church of St. Nicholas Rangavas in Athens. Metropolitan of Kissamos & Selinos Amphilochios officiated.
How soon after his divorce did he remarry?
Nikolaos and Tatiana Blatnik announced their separation on April 19, 2024. The announcement came about nine months before the wedding. EL PAÍS reproduced the family’s statement: “After fourteen years of marriage, they have chosen to amicably dissolve their union.”
That timeline establishes the interval between the public divorce announcement and the wedding; it does not establish when Nikolaos and Vardinogianni’s relationship began. EL PAÍS reported that they had known each other since childhood and that their relationship became romantic a few months before the wedding, without specifying a precise start date.

Who attended the Athens ceremony?
The Greek Royal Family described the gathering as attended by close relatives and friends. Nikolaos’s siblings Pavlos, Alexia and Theodora, along with his nephew Konstantinos-Alexios, took part as best men and bridesmaids.
The Associated Press reported that about 200 well-wishers gathered outside the church. That figure refers to people outside the ceremony, not the number of wedding guests; the announcement did not give a guest count.

What is the context behind the “Prince of Greece” title?
Greece is not a reigning monarchy: the country abolished the monarchy in 1974, according to the Associated Press. AP also reported that members of the former royal family regained Greek citizenship in December after renouncing claims to former titles and adopting the surname de Grèce. The official wedding notice uses “Nikolaos De Grèce” and calls Vardinogianni “Ms.” Those sources do not establish a definitive current title for her or for Tatiana Blatnik.
